We decided to find a fun family activity to do yesterday, so we went up to Lexington and visited the Kentucky Children's Garden at the Arboretum. It was so much fun!
The Arboretum is free to walk through and look at the wonderful gardens and scultptures, but for $3 you can visit the children's garden. It's kid-sized and kid friendly. They encourage kids to get dirty and explore with all of their senses. Kathryn had such a great time being barefoot and standing in the little creek or on the misting pad. The last picture is her holding a little fishing pole [no hooks]. It was so rewarding to watch her discover new things. We will definitely be going back!
